Offspring: Creating New Life (Theirs & Yours)
Rebuilding Identity and Reclaiming Purpose
The Offspring Workshop is for anyone wanting to explore their core beliefs about raising offspring. Each session will include a guided mindfulness exercise and creative prompt to fuel our introspective journeys. You will find a supportive culture that is safe for discussing what you most want to process.
Birth is universally transformative, but how our children have challenged and changed us is utterly unique. Our goal is not to record what happened, but to reflect on how birth and childrearing has reshaped your body, mind, and spirit.
The demands of motherhood can leave little time for personal self-care. Nurturing oneself is necessary to effective parenting as we want to instill values of self-awareness and self-respect in our children. Introspection is an integral part of the spiritual journey of parenthood. We help mothers undertake this internal journey and rebuild a sense of self that has undoubtedly shifted upon taking on the identity of “mother.”
Motherhood is the ultimate creative act. Not only do mothers support the development of new life in their children, motherhood also requires creating a new understanding of self. Too often, however, mothers encourage creative self-exploration in their children without allowing themselves to utilize this powerful tool.
It takes a village. Parenting in an increasingly disconnected era can be a lonely experience. By coming together to share our inner truths through creative expression, we strengthen the bonds of human experience for ourselves and future generations.
